A Wrench for Every NUT

A good description of the multitude of meetings available worldwide.
Nowadays it doesn't even matter what your addiction is; food, gambling,
sex, the 12 Step method can be a life changing experience.

I must clarify that while working these steps is important, we urge folks
to incorporate the necessary behavior modifications. Sorry to break it
to those who think God will remove their character defects, but we are
a bit skeptical of that possibility. It is up to each individual to identify,
and improve their shortcomings.

It has taken me quite some time to identify, rather than compare with
people I hear at meetings. Finally I can get a little something from every
person, regardless of how different our stories were.

All in all, this open-minded outlook has made my meeting attendance more
fruitful and meaningful. What a difference from the days when I would
leave a meeting more angry that when I arrived.

COGNITIVE DISSONANCE;
A conflict between the requirements to talk likes the PROGRAM (12 Step) works & ones knowledge that it isn’t doing anything.

Dear Jack,
You are slowly being BRAINWASHED. You have quite a lot of ANGER & AA is suppressing it.

I attended an anger workshop for 4 years & I suggest you do the same. Anger is a healthy emotion. Rage (which you have locked in your body) is the DEMON.

If one didn't have any anger, one wouldn't be able to leave ones apartment - house.

Satan (AA) is very cunning & "he" can give you a sense that you are doing fine.

I was talking to a friend (today) 40 years "sober" & he is a terrified little boy.

All he has done is go to AA & he is still full of his demons. I know quite a few STEPPERS here in Sydney & I haven’t met one yet who is RECOVERED. One guy I knew blew his brains out after 20 years "sober".

One could say, that at least he didn’t pick up a drink. Can't you see how insane AA & 12 Step programs per se are, JOHNNY?

Get real, John, tell me & the other BLOGGERS how you really feel.

I, MICKY, AM THE HOLY ONE OF GOD.
