R.C. Buford, general manager of the San Antonio Spurs, has been charged with driving while intoxicated and having an open container in his vehicle. Buford was arrested after a single-car crash. In a statement, the Spurs said the crash "was precipitated by a severe low blood sugar reaction." Buford is diabetic.

Former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield has been arrested at his North Carolina home and charged with possession of 1.5 grams of methamphetamine. Mayfield was suspended indefinitely in 2009 by NASCAR for violating the substance abuse policy.

'Pill Mill' Crackdown Leads to 22 Arrests
A federal crackdown on Florida "pill mills" that illegal distribute prescription drugs continued with the arrest of 22 people. Those arrested included five doctors and two pharmacists. More than 100 people have been arrested in the crackdown.
