Official spokespeople for U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. say that he has been in treatment for the past month for a "mood disorder," but media sources claim the problem is more serious. A family friend told reporters that Jackson is being treated in Arizona for depression and alcoholism.

Kerry Kennedy Says Car Accident Caused by Seizure
Ex-wife of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, blames her collision with a tractor-trailer truck on a seizure. But state troopers, who found her slumped behind the wheel of her car after she fled the scene, charged her with driving while impaired by drugs.

St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn has been arrested for driving while intoxicated, having no insurance and failure to exercise a high degree of care. He was arrested after he crashed his vehicle on an exit ramp on Interstate-270 in Florissant, Missouri.

Lions' Berry to Enter Diversionary Program
Detroit Lions cornerback Aaron Berry will avoid jail time by entering a diversion program after his arrest for DUI and other related charges. He was arrested June 23 after crashing his BMW into two parked cars and leaving the scene.
