My journey
It's been a while since I posted my own words...
Truth is I have been struggling to maintain, due
to family issues and stress.
I have fallen at times, but have always bounced back
Having owned a sober living home for 11 years, I
have witnessed the triumphs and difficulties of maintaining sobriety
The nature of addiction is, that it is resistant to treatment;
You can witness it for yourself...just look at the folks going to
multiple rehabs, the relapse rate at AA meetings
Kudos to the 5% that traditional recovery works for...
you are the fortunate ones.
For the other 95% , it remains a constant battle
My experience has been , that there is no "one size fits all " solution
to addiction
Contrary to what you hear at rehabs or meetings...
relapse IS part of recovery
