Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has been sentenced to two years of probation, the first four months of which will be spent in a residential treatment center in Florida. The sentence came after he entered a no contest plea to domestic violence charges.

The large increase of home foreclosures in the Las Vegas is providing opportunities for marijuana growers. Authorities have busted 153 indoor marijuana grow operations and have seized more than 13,000 plants last year, compared to 18 busts and 1,000 plants in 2005.
